Blair County
Blair County was formed in February 1846 from parts of Bedford and Huntingdon Counties (which were also created from other counties in the 1700s). It is surrounded by Centre and Clearfield Counties on the north and Bedford on the south; Huntingdon on the east and Cambria on the west. Hollidaysburg is the seat of Blair County. Records of wills and probates, and property deeds are available from 1846; and, marriage licenses are available from 1885. Cambria County
Cambria County, Pennsylvania was officially established in March, 1804. Cambria was constructed from parts of Huntingdon and Somerset Counties. The seat of the county is in Ebensburg. Johnstown is another major city within the county and has a rich history. Cambria County had a high concentration of Welsh emigrants and, as such, was named to reflect the original name of Wales, Cymru. The following records are available from Cambria County: marriage licenses beginning in 1885, wills and probates beginning in 1808, naturalizations beginning in 1835, land deeds beginning 1804, and other miscellaneous items. A majority of earlier records may be found in Huntingdon County. York County
York County was created from a portion of Lancaster County in October, 1748. In 1800, a portion of York County became Adams County. York County is bordered by Adams, Cumberland, and Dauphin, Lancaster Counties in Pennsylvania and Baltimore and Carroll Counties, Maryland. Property deeds and will/probate records are available from 1749 and marriage licenses from 1885.
